And how long わずかな last?
What is the difference between them?

I cannot get a good answer from translate.google.com

[table][tr][td]

しばらく
adv. (Kanji=暫く) little while, for a while, short time later, for some time
n. (Kanji=暫) (Japanese) Shibaraku, one of the Eighteen Famous Kabuki Plays

わずかな
adj. (Kanji=僅かな) imperceptible, not perceptible; lean, slim; marginal, nominal

In my opinion, わずかな is not used to describe a particular period of time, but to emphasize the time is short. It means "only".

And しばらく  just means "for a while".

They are totally different.

[table][tr][td]They describe different object. The latter describes not only time but also normal item.As for the former,it has tow opposite meanings which merely describe time. Ps: It is a batter idea to purchase a book about Japanese grammar because there is an authority answer to your question.
